The Luxurious Master Bath

When building your dream home there are so many aspects to consider. One room that people don’t always think of right away; the master bath. Everyone wants to start their day in a functionally beautiful space… and who doesn’t sometimes need to escape the pressures of a long day and unwind in a spa like setting, your own little piece of paradise. There are multiple things to consider when deciding what features you want in your master bath. The first of which is the shower. This may not seem like much of a question but with all the new features that can be added to your shower you’ll really want to consider your options. Do you want glass or tile? A classic closed in shower with a door, an open shower with no doors at all or a glass shower? Then comes the really fun part, picking out what kind of shower head you want. Choose a rain style shower head that hangs directly above you to wash away the stress of the day, or pick a more traditional shower head that can unhook from the wall for convenience. Can’t decide? Why not have both! Next up, the bath tub. Will it be an oversized whirlpool tub to massage those achy muscles, or are you looking for an elegant freestanding tub? Whatever you choose, you will have the perfect place to go at the end of those particularly difficulty days and relax with a soothing bath, a nice glass of wine or a favorite book. Here is something to really consider, do you want a his and hers vanity or two separate vanities? Traditionally the his and hers design was used out of default and they work quite nicely but separate vanities can give you each your own space, no more bumping elbows as your trying to get ready every morning. Speaking of getting ready in the morning what about a place to sit and do your make up instead of leaning over the sink? A knee space in your vanity provides a place to pull up a stool, have your morning coffee and get ready before heading out to take on another day. Now how about a linen closet? This gives you a space for all your towels and extra toiletries. A closet helps you stay organized, and less clutter means less stress! You’ll also love this convenience as it frees up more space under the bathroom sink. No one likes to try to reach for something out from under the cabinet and take the whole pile of towels with them so get them out from under there and into a closet. Last but certainly not least is the private toilet room. This feature may not seem too important but believe me you will want it. You don’t want to be getting ready for your day while your loved one is sitting on the throne beside you and they may well not like to be out in the openness of the bathroom with you either. A private toilet room takes care of this whole situation. Whatever amenities you choose for your master bath remember that this can be your oasis to relax and forget the outside world for a while so treat yourself to a few luxuries. After a hard day’s work you are going to be glad you did.
